Dr. Fisayo Aloba, DPT, Ph.D., is a clinician scientist and neuroscientist dedicated to pioneering innovative brain recovery mechanisms and neurorehabilitation protocols. With over a decade of robust hands-on experience in intensive care and neuro-critical units, Dr. Aloba specializes in translating complex neuroscience research directly into transformative clinical outcomes for patients recovering from stroke and spatial-motor deficits.

Her multi-continental academic pedigree highlights a deep expertise in physical rehabilitation and neural science. After graduating with a degree in Medical Rehabilitation from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, she moved to the United States to earn a Master’s in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Texas Tech University HSC. She went on to achieve her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Emory University, investigating advanced computational neurorehabilitation, brain mapping, and biomarker tracking using Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

An internationally recognized scholar, Dr. Aloba’s research has garnered prestigious backing from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), including the NIH National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) F31 Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award and the T32 Institutional Training Grant. Her contributions to the scientific community have earned her a multitude of honours, including the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) Neuroscience Scholar Program Leadership Award, the NIH Outstanding Scholars in Neuroscience Award (OSNAP), and the American Society of Neurorehabilitation (ASNR) Travel Fellowship.

Beyond her laboratory discoveries and clinical interventions, Dr. Aloba is a dedicated educator, an APTA-certified Clinical Instructor, and a passionate academic mentor. Through initiatives like her Mentorship Circle, she actively empowers the next generation of students and healthcare professionals, translating complex scientific research into actionable, life-changing academic and career pathways.
